2010 Gothic Arches #10 - Steampunk

Well here I am with my Steampunk gothic arch :) You can check out all the arches in the Inkurable Stampers 2010 Gothic Arch challenge over here at flickr.

I have started with a black arch and a white arch. The white arch was slightly smaller than the black, and both were edge-distressed. The white layers was coloured with Pumice Stone, Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain DI. The background was stamped with archival black using 7 gypsies Steampunk stamp set.

The face and clock are from Paper Artsy HP1007. The face is stamped in brushed corduroy I think and embossed with bronze, which for some reason didn't take so well, but I didn't mind the distressed look of it anyway. Coloured with Antique Linen, trimmed and attached to arch. The clock was embossed in black and trimmed, then coloured with Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy and Vintage Photo, and a few coats of Glimmermist applied.

The butterfly is and #8 button are from the 7gypsies set - the button was embossed and covered in dimensional magic, and the butterfly was stamped on to 10 Seconds Studio metal and trimmed, shaped and sanded. I also added a couple of the cogs from this set stamped on plastic, with some watch gear parts. Some chain and screw brads to finish.

Thanks for visiting!
