The Play Date Cafe #78

Hello blogger friends and welcome to another beautiful colour story at The Play Date Cafe!  This time chosen by Julie Ranae.....

In Australia we celebrate Mother's Day in early May, and I have used this weeks colours to make a mother's day card. I began by cutting a bunch of squares from some Bo Bunny paper and distressing the edges and adhering these to some red cardstock.  I framed each of the little squares with DMC thread #3326 which were tied off with knots in random places.  These 2 layers were then attached to a base of Kraft cardstock.

I stamped the flower (MME flirty 'play') using stormy sky distress ink.  After trimming it out I edged it with the same ink, attached it with a little ribbon underneath, some Heidi Grace heart pins and a button.  The greeting is from Darkroom Door all occasions.

This week we are being sponsored by Market St Stamps, where you have the chance to win a fabulous prize!

Our guest designer this week is the lovely Hannah Craner and you can stop by her blog Sherbet Blossom and see what she's been up to with these pretty colours.  And here are our regular designers bringing some special inspiration your way this week.....

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi!

What a lovely card!
I heart the way you've distressed and pieced together the background, the sweet little details like the button, ribbon, and pins, and the way you've interpreted the pretty color scheme!
Happy Easter!
