The Play Date Cafe #83

What a week we have for you over at the Play Date Cafe this week!  This weeks theme is black and white, with just a splash of green.

As you can see from our colour inspiration board, we are farewelling senior designer Sarah Anderson, who is moving on to some exciting crafting adventures on a full-time basis.  As a final tribute to Sarah, we are running her favourite of all colour challenges - the colour splash.

We are being sponsored this week by Skipping Stones Design, and this stamp set is called 'Heartsong' - why not play along this week for your chance to win a great prize from this sponsor.

If you would like to be in the running for an additional prize from The Play Date Cafe prize menu, make sure you hop along to each of the DT members blogs and leave a comment at each stop.  You should have come here from Tracey's blog.  If you haven't, or think you've missed one, pop back to The Play Date Cafe and start at the very beginning!  To continue your blog hopping journey, click on over to....

Just one more thing, before you hop away, I have been through the projects that our wonderful Sarah has created for you in her time at The Play Date Cafe, and have chosen this project Sarah created last year to feature on my blog - it has crochet on it - how could I not choose this one?!!

Thanks for sticking with me through this post - now let's see what you can create with BLACK, WHITE and a splash of GREEN!

Those butterflies are divine. I love the simplicity of your card - it evokes a certain sadness, quite apt really.

Thanks for all the lovely comments you've been leaving on my blog. I do appreciate them.

cheers,

Love that you made black the majority like the prompt graphic...the splashes of white and green accent the textures and it's a lovely tribute to your friend! Best to you all as you celebrate your friendship this week!

Fee, those musical butterflies are a very fitting tribute to Sarah. Did you see in our Yahoo galleries how many projects she made with butterflies?? Lots! I love the elegance of your card. And the project you picked of Sarah's...it reminds me of you with the crocheting!

I love your musical butterflies! And while I've been drawn to the "white space" lately, I love your use of the "dark"! Totally Striking!
