OK so I want to say thanks to all of you who popped by over the weekend for the huge blog hop for Julie Ranae - and thank you to those fresh faces that I have seen who have started following my blog!
Check out this awesome colour palette for the challenge over at The Play Date Cafe this week! There isn't much time to enter, and I have two to share, so I will be back tomorrow with another (very different!) entry!
I LOVE these colours - and that inspiration picture is so much fun! I have come up with a quirky ATC with these colours. I fiddled around with some Adirondack Color Wash (purple twilight and wild plum) on a gesso background. I made sure to squelch the gesso on to give the background some texture. Added some stamps by PaperBag Studios ( journal impressions) and Stampers Anonymous (love struck) and Darkroom Door (all occasions) and of course Stampotique (Mort had a pin curl).
Some of the stamping was done with Black archival ink, and some with Colorbox frost white ink. There is also a little FolkArt magenta paint in there.
Twisted some black wire to form bat wings, and added some slick black Kindy Glitz for the drooly black goop up the top.
Can you see the texture in the background?
Thanks for stopping by :)
