The Play Date Cafe #122

I have a little something to play along with The Play Date Cafe colours this week.  Here is the inspiration picture.

This turned out to be quite a fun card to make.

The paper is from 7gypsies 'Avignon' collection, and I smooshed paint over it to mute it down.

Love the little hints of yellow and the glistening bee seemingly crawling off the torn page.

Thanks for visiting :)

Stampotique Designers Challenge #49

The current challenge at Stampotique Designers Blog is a colour challenge - pink, purple and black.

I have been struggling a bit lately with being focussed on creating.... sometimes the old desire to put colours or textures together just slips off quietly and before you know it, you haven't made anything for ages, and empty spaces are terrifying....  so I have been putting off entering this challenge because I just couldn't focus on those colours.

Anyway, last night I sat down and just had a play with some stuff, tried out some techniques, and kept my project small so it wasn't overwhelming.

I used these stamps from Stampotique: French Text (Jo Capper-Sandon); Blocks (Maryse Carrier); 3 Hearts by Kelle McCarter.

Thanks for visiting!

March calendar

Welcome back to another instalment of my calendar :)  I know many of you visiting may have spring pages, but down here in Australia, March marks the beginning of Autumn - so I tried to reflect a little of that warmth with the remaining green of summer in my calendar page.

I really enjoyed making this months art, I'm sorry my photos don't do them justice ( a bit wobbly there... )

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Of course I'm playing along with Kate Crane's Art Journal challenge.... You can read all about it here... or visit her March page here.
